Hi! This is Barbara, one of Sara's friends and fellow horse lover. Her horse has a rare and serious infection and needs a lot of care. Her prognosis is good and Sara needs help to pay for the intensive care she's getting. She won't ask for help because she's the sweetest person ever, so we're just gonna do it for her. Here's Addie's update from Sara:

"For those of you that don’t know, one of my horses came down with a rare and serious infection last week. She’s been in the hospital since last Monday and will be there for at least a few more days. She’s undergone several procedures, including surgery on her lower jaw.

Her prognosis is good, but saving her is, understandably, costing me a fortune. This is NOT a complaint about the cost of vet care. Vets deserve every penny they make and the vets who have helped Addie have done a phenomenal job with an unusual case.

That said, unfortunately I am not someone who just happens to have 15k laying around, so even though I have no complaints about cost of her care, I still need to figure out how to pay for it. I have promised every animal who comes to me that I will always do everything in my power to make sure they are safe, healthy, and unconditionally valued for who they are, and it’s Addie’s turn for me to make good on that promise."

Sara is currently trying to sell her tack to pay for Addie's bills, but she shouldn't have to choose between saving her horse and riding. Please donate what you can and send lots of healing wishes to Addie for a speedy and uneventful recovery!
