Help Sara Meyer find new accommodations
Donation protected
On Saturday 10-16-2021, high winds sent an oak tree crashing into the roof of the Meyer family at 1950 South Creek Road. The house, in which they have been residing as tenants for 24 years, was subsequently condemned by the Town of Evans due to the extreme structural damage suffered in the impact despite the best efforts of friends and neighbors to rally volunteer labor and expertise toward the structural repair. All three members of the household are disabled, and since the accident have been relying on friends and neighbors for accommodation and support. Jeff and Sara also care for their adult special needs son, Peter, who they would like to keep in the Southtowns due to it being the most familiar environment for him, and proximity to workplace training and social programs he is enrolled in. We are asking for contributions to help cover the cost of finding them new accommodations, hiring movers to recover what personal belongings can be salvaged, and to replace those essentials which have been lost. Additionally, any leads on affordable 2-bedroom lodgings in the Southtowns that will allow for a small dog are greatly appreciated.
