Help Sara Marie Krause (aka Marie, Mimi, mom, & grandma) Recover and Rebuild After a Serious Fall

On January 22, 2025, our beloved mother, Sara Marie Krause (aka Marie, Mimi, mom, & grandma), suffered a devastating fall while attending a meeting at a senior center in South Hadley. She sustained multiple fractures to her pelvic bone and a staggering seven (7) fractures to her humerus head at the shoulder.

After five (5) days in the hospital and seven (7) weeks in rehabilitation, she is finally coming home! But her journey to full recovery is far from over.

The Road Ahead

Marie (Mimi, mom, & grandma) still faces immense challenges:

Her pelvic fractures must fully heal before she can regain strength for standing, walking, sitting, and managing stairs.

Once healed, her orthopedic surgeon will assess when she can undergo a full shoulder replacement, a necessary procedure due to this injury.

Why We Need Your Help

Bringing Marie (Mimi, mom, & grandma) home requires major adjustments to ensure her safety and mobility. We need to:

✔ Hire a caregiver to support her recovery.

✔ Cover lost wages from the past two months and ongoing care expenses.
