Sara and her 12 year old daughter Mila recently lost the use of their home following a fire caused by a faulty dishwasher. Whilst the fire didn’t spread too far, everything they own is now damaged by smoke and soot – inside cupboards, into wardrobes – everywhere and it may be months until they can return home again. Everything in the house needs to be trauma cleaned.
Alongside personal belongings, as a fibre artist, Sara has lost the use of her studio and a huge amount of yarn and fabrics, this has caused her to temporarily close her crochet business – which provides an integral part of her income – whilst she works to replace the yarn needed to produce stock. Specialist fabric cleaners have been located and it’s believed a lot of Sara’s yarn and fabrics can be saved however this will be costly.
Please help to raise some funds for Sara to get her yarn collection back to open up shop again!
Funds will go towards:
- Replenishing/replacing yarn and recycled filling
- Having fabrics and yarn professionally cleaned
- Crocheted cushions (stock) professionally cleaned.
- Storage fees
