Hi, my name is Sara Amaya, and I’m a first-generation college student working hard to achieve my dream of earning a degree in Business at Drexel University. I’ve always believed in the power of education to change lives — not just mine, but my family's and my community's as well.

Growing up, I learned to take on responsibilities beyond my years — helping raise my younger siblings, working part-time to help cover rent and bills, and supporting my mom who works tirelessly to provide for us. Despite all the challenges, I stayed focused in school, took on leadership roles like Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook, joined Future Business Leaders of America, and never gave up on my goals.

I’ve been accepted into Drexel and awarded a generous scholarship, but I still face a large financial gap. With tuition, housing, and living costs, I’m doing everything I can — working long hours, applying for scholarships, and budgeting tightly — but I still need help to cover what’s left.
