June 2025 Update: Sara’s condition is now very dire. She has been admitted into the Sturgeon Hospital after suffering with a great deal of pain. Scans as of last Friday has shown she has significant cervical spine (neck) metastasis and she cannot support her upper body without a brace and strong painkillers. There are other severe complications as well. She cannot go home as of now and doctors are trying to figure out a hospice plan if she is allowed to return home. At this time, we are continuing to fundraise to help pay off any outstanding bills and if the need for home equipment arises, to purchase or rent that. If she can return home, Sara will need everything done for her. We have been hiring a housekeeper to clean her home regularly as she cannot even do dishes or cook now. If God chooses to take Sara home, any extra funds will be used for funeral and legal expenses.

2025 Update: Sara has a very poor prognosis and her Oncologist has given her a short time left to live. The cancer has unfortunately now invaded her spine, hips and pelvis along with multiple organ tumours. The main goal at this point is to try and keep the cancer growth slowed down so that she may be able to live longer and spend that remaining time with her boys. Sara needs to raise $2500 as soon as possible to cover the cost of two months of 4 products for natural supplemental treatment. This is the same protocol she has been using already which has been extending her life. Please, if you can donate towards this and pray for a miracle, Sara and her family would be so grateful!

Hi, my name is Mary-Ellen and I am a close friend of Sara Knelsen. I am raising funds for her as she has unfortunately been diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer for the second time. She was diagnosed a little over two years ago with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma stage 3 and was cleared of it after nearly a year of chemotherapy. However, she was called back in for a follow-up by the Cross Cancer Centre recently and has learned that the same cancer is now back and is also invading the lymph nodes throughout her arm pit. Oncology has suggested radiation and surgery as the crucial next step. Sara will be facing multiple appointments and procedures in Edmonton in the coming up months. The first time was a significant financial burden and even more so now as she does not own a vehicle.
