Help Sara Beat Cancer’s A$$

Mama, wife, sister, daughter, teacher, friend. These are all words that describe Sara. Recently, there’s a new word that we can use to describe her and that’s survivor. Cancer survivor to be more specific.

Eight weeks ago, Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a double mastectomy and a second surgery still to come, Sara has already gone back to work after a mere three weeks off to recover. She went back to work bc while she was recovering, the doctor bills started coming in and as you may or may not know, Fort Worth school district does not offer paid medical leave. Not even for cancer.

I’m asking Sara’s friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances and anyone who knows her to consider donating to this fund to help Sara pay her medical bills. We’re so thankful for insurance, but insurance doesn’t begin to cover it all. Sara’s fight is just beginning and she’s already been billed $7,000 in costs, meanwhile, her paycheck is docked every time she takes time off for one of the numerous appointments and surgeries.

I’d like to help relieve some of the financial stress Sara is experiencing so she can put all her energy and focus into healing from the extreme and life altering surgery and making sure the cancer does not come back.
