Attending the National Youth Leadership Forum of Medicine and Health is a dream come true for me. This program will give me a jump start on my path to working in the medical field as a pediatric dental hygienist. Not only will I have the chance to earn college credits, but I’ll also experience hands-on learning with professional medical workers and listen to inspirational speakers. I know this academic program will help me grow my personal leadership skills and give me a real feel for what I want to do with my life in the dental field.

Unfortunately, the program comes with significant tuition and travel costs, which is difficult for my family to afford right now. My dad recently suffered a foot injury and will be out of work for about a year. My mom is a full-time educator, but she doesn’t get paid enough for all that she does. I work really hard for all of my grades and I’m academically successful, but we need help to make this opportunity possible. The funds raised will help cover the tuition and travel expenses, giving me the chance to earn college credits, gain hands-on experience, and develop leadership skills in the medical field. This support will make it possible for me to attend when it otherwise wouldn’t be possible for my family.
