Help Sara and Family With Leukemia Journey
Donation protected
Update: Over the summer, Sara's body has responded to treatment very well. Most test results brought good news, she's managed to avoid colds or viruses, and continues to feel well overall. Unfortunately, now comes the hard part (like, really hard) as she preps for the bone marrow transplant later this month. Afterward, she’ll need daily all-day infusions at the clinic 7-days a week for the next ~6 months. If you can spare anything extra right now, it would be so appreciated to help Sara and her family get her through this and healthy enough to work again.

On April 16, after routine blood work at her annual physical, Sara was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She suddenly went from working a job she loves, traveling with her family, and otherwise enjoying a healthy, normal life to an extended hospital stay, numerous tests/scans, and aggressive chemotherapy treatments. After the initial treatment, she'll need regular bone marrow biopsies to confirm whether her body is producing healthy cells.
Sara and her husband Jonathan are financial advisors who work for themselves. Now that Sara will be focused on treatments and healing, Jonathan will be playing full-time Dad to their twin 11 year old girls, Audrey and Eva, while also pulling double duty for their small business. When neither of them are able to work, they will have no income unfortunately and will have significant medical expenses coming.
As they prepare for a long process, anything you can spare to help this beautiful family through an incredibly difficult time would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can’t donate, please share with family and friends.
If you’d prefer, you can also donate through the meal train for Jonathan, the girls, and Sara’s parents by clicking here.
If you'd prefer to donate something tangible like house cleaning services or lawn mowing, you can by clicking here.
