The day after Christmas, tragedy struck our family when a devastating house fire destroyed the home of my sister, Sara and her boyfriend, Christian. In a matter of minutes, they lost everything —their home, belongings, clothing, furniture, personal items, and irreplaceable memories. The fire was a total loss. To make this even more heartbreaking, their beloved cat is still missing, and we are holding onto hope for a miracle reunion.

They were forced to evacuate with little more than the clothes they were wearing and are currently displaced and staying with family while trying to process this unimaginable loss and figure out next steps.

Right now, they are facing:

* Immediate housing and displacement expenses

* Replacing basic necessities (clothing, toiletries, medications, essentials)

* Long-term rebuilding and recovery costs

* Emotional trauma from losing their home and missing pet
