Help Santino on journey to double lung transplant

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal for Santino Wintringham, a beloved community member currently facing a critical health battle.

Santino is living with Cystic Fibrosis, resulting in his oxygen levels consistently being in the low 40% range. This condition requires daily medical attention and constant monitoring to manage his symptoms.

In 2019, Santino successfully received a lung transplant; However the impact of COVID-19 caused him to go into lung rejection leading to a severe decline in his lung function and worsening kidney failure. Currently, he is not only fighting for his lungs but also needs this transplant before he can even be evaluated for a kidney transplant.

Santino is in the process of undergoing a double lung transplant, a procedure that has become increasingly urgent due to complications from COVID-19 in 2022

Santino is a fighter. He has faced numerous challenges in his life with unwavering strength and resilience. However, the journey to recovery is daunting and comes with significant financial burdens. From hospital bills to medications and ongoing care post-transplant, the costs are overwhelming and not manageable without our collective help.

We could be living in Toronto for 4-5 months post-surgery
