Santiago is the creator of Biocentric Coaching—an operating system for resilient leadership, helping leaders in high-growth environments perform without burning out. He is also a Certified Positive Intelligence Coach, deeply committed to mental fitness and human potential. I know Santiago personally through an intense 6-month Positive Intelligence journey, and he is someone who shows up fully for others, again and again.
Between January and March 2026, Santiago was diagnosed with a 2.4 kg (5.3 lb) tumor—so rare it affects only 1 in 500 million people. What followed was a series of unimaginable challenges: seizures that fractured his spine, a high-risk four-hour surgery that resulted in the loss of his spleen, and a difficult ICU recovery. Despite these hardships, Santiago's resilience shone through, and on April 1st, his PET scan came back completely clear. He survived, but the journey has left him emotionally and financially drained.
Now, Santiago faces a long and intense recovery. His body no longer produces cortisol, requiring ongoing medication. He must undergo preventive chemotherapy (Mitotane) and radiotherapy, and his spine needs rehabilitation. For the next 6–9 months, Santiago will be unable to work, making it impossible to cover basic living costs, treatment, and transport. The funds raised will help Santiago focus on healing so he can return to the work he loves—helping others find hope and strength.
Santiago does not have any immediate family close by to support him, that's why we are a group of friends and colleagues organizing this fundraiser.
Santiago has already done the impossible. Now he needs the time and support to heal fully. If you feel moved, any contribution helps. And if you can’t give, sharing this fundraiser means everything. Let’s be the tribe that holds him now.
Please note, that funds are being collected by me in the U.S. and will be transferred directly to Santiago in Colombia. This is one of the current limitations of gofundme.
