Help Santa Rosan Students Attend Journalism Convention

This is a funding request for my Journalism and Yearbook classes. Every year for the past 15 years, I've been taking my students to the annual Journalism convention. At this convention, our students study press law, writing, photography, and design. We compete against other schools throughout the nation in competitions that involve on-demand writing and tests of our journalistic knowledge. This year, I have 18 students who would like to travel to Seattle, Washington to compete and to learn. If you would be willing to donate, all funds will go to this trip and to the funding of our printed newspaper, The Santa Rosan. You can view our content on our website and listen to our podcast too. Our students learned to create their podcast via the JEA convention workshops. We can only imagine what we'll accomplish on our next trip.
