The National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) Chapter at Santa Monica College is once again competing in the NOMA BGL Student Competition and is seeking your support.
Last year, our team made history in Baltimore, Maryland as the first ever community college to reach the final round, earning the Special Recognition Award. This year, our dedicated team of 13 students is working hard to return to the competition, which will take place in Kansas City, Missouri.
Our team is in efforts to raise $10,000 for flights, transportation, registration, and the creation of our final model. After seven months of preparation and commitment, we are determined to finish strong—with your help!
How Your Donation Helps:
$25 – Helps fund materials used to test and prototype our final physical model
$40 – Supports transportation within Kansas City (rideshares, public transit)
$50 – Contributes to materials for our final architectural model
$75 – Covers one night's lodging for a team member
$100 – Helps with flight costs for one student
$250 – Sponsors registration fees for a team member
$500+ – Significantly supports our full travel and competition expenses—become a team champion!
Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to representing Community Colleges on a national stage. Thank you for investing in our journey!
