Hi friends, we’re setting up this page to help a man who’s a beacon of kindness in our community and a dear friend to many, Kevin Jackson. If you’ve lived in Kingston or the surrounding area over the past decade, chances are Santa Kev has touched your life. ✨
Kevin (Santa Kev) has brought magic and joy to countless families; at community events, schools, holiday gatherings, and in living rooms where children’s eyes lit up at the sight of him. He’s more than just a Santa - he’s a boundless font of compassion, laughter, and light in our city.
Now, Santa Kev and his family need our help.
This past week, Kevin and his wife Nicki lost Nicki’s mom, whom they had been caring for full-time for years. On top of the grief of losing her, they’re now facing the loss of their home due to a complicated and painful probate situation. With mounting financial stress and only a few weeks to move, they’ve found themselves with almost nothing left - despite having given so much of themselves to others.
To make matters harder, Kevin’s had to cancel his Santa season, refund deposits, and put aside the work he loves most - spreading joy to families at Christmas.
Kevin himself would never ask for this. He’s the first person to offer help and the last to accept it. But so many of us know just how much he’s given, and right now, Santa Kev needs some “Santa Karma” to come back his way. ❤️️
The funds raised will go toward helping Kevin, Nicki, and their two young daughters secure a new home as they relocate to the Ottawa Valley, cover moving expenses, and hopefully give them a small cushion to breathe. Even a little bit helps - whether it’s covering groceries, gas, or legal support to navigate this difficult transition.
Kevin has been Santa for so many of us. Now it’s our turn to be Santa for him.
If you’re able, please consider giving, and if not, sharing this fundraiser helps the magic spread. Improbable Escapes is where Santa Kev first found his start, and we’re so grateful our paths crossed with his.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Together, let’s help Santa Kev build his new workshop.
With thanks,
The Improbable Escapes Team
