Hello everyone,

My name is Sandy Schock, and asking for help has never been easy for me. I’ve spent most of my life taking care of others—family, friends. But now, for the first time, I find myself needing help more than ever.

Over the past year, my mobility has declined rapidly due to severe damage in my hip. The pain has made simple everyday tasks—walking, standing, even sleeping—incredibly difficult. After months of trying physical therapy, medications, and every alternative recommended, my doctors have told me that hip replacement surgery is the only option to help me regain my independence and quality of life.

I am incredibly grateful that the surgery itself is scheduled, but what I cannot afford is the extensive after-care required for a safe recovery. This includes:

- Post-operative physical therapy

- Mobility aids and home safety equipment

- Transportation to medical appointments

- Temporary home-care assistance while I recover

- Medication and follow-up visits not fully covered by insurance.

As a senior on a fixed income, these costs are overwhelming. I want nothing more than to be able to walk without pain, stay independent, and return to the life I love—visiting my family, and enjoying simple days without fear of falling or hurting myself.
