Our good friend Sandy French recently experienced a tragic loss this past week due to the Eaton fire here in Altadena, California. She was evacuated on Tuesday this past week with just an overnight bag and returned on Wednesday to find the apartment building that she lived in completely burned to the ground. None of her possessions could be recovered.

As a long-standing Editor's Guild Local 700 union member who suffered, like many others, due to work stoppage from strikes and film industry slowdowns, she decided to retire this past year. She had no rental insurance in place when the fires struck.

A statement from her close friend, Elena Maganini "I've known Sandy for many years all the way back to the 90s when we worked together on a couple of independent features back in Chicago. She's always been a hard worker and dedicated union member and worked on many well-known features when she came here to LA in the mid 90s. Please help us get Sandy back on her feet."

Any funds sent will be provided directly to Sandy to assist with replacing what was lost to the fire. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
