Dear friends,

We are reaching out on behalf of our beloved Sandy Henderson who is such a vibrant and compassionate person. She has touched so many lives with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support. Recently, Sandy suffered a sudden and life-threatening brain aneurysm. We are deeply grateful that she survived, and her journey to recovery is just beginning.

Sandy is currently in the early stages of rehabilitation and making slow but steady progress. The next six months are critical. With the right therapy and support, she has a chance to regain more independence and improve her quality of life. Our hope is to help her get as close as possible to being the Sandy we all know and love.

Unfortunately, Sandy’s care options are extremely limited. She had recently changed jobs and had not yet qualified for health insurance through her new employer. Under the managed care plan available to her, the choices are stark: a skilled nursing facility with no therapy, or returning home with only minimal in-home support. Neither of these options offer the intensive therapy Sandy needs to continue progressing and achieve meaningful recovery.

Sandy has always been the first to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and show up when others needed her. It is our hope to show up for her in the same way. We are raising funds to help cover the cost of specialized therapies, adaptive equipment, and extended in-home care during this crucial phase of healing.
