Sandy was driving her daughter's car on October 6, 2016 when she was was rear-ended by another vehicle, while she was stopped at a red light behind a line of cars. It is speculated that the vehicle which struck her was travelling  ~45 mph. The car suffered irreparable damage.

After the accident, Sandy was suffering from chest pain and difficulty breathing, and was taken to the Emergency Room. After an EKG and X-rays, she was diagnosed with a chest wall contusion, bruised sternum, and cervical spine sprain, which can take up to 4-8 weeks to heal.

Money is needed to help with her lost income for food and bills, cost of chiropractic treatment, and vehicle replacement for her daughter, who she is staying with while she recuperates. 

Sandy is a caregiver for the elderly, so there is no way of knowing when she will have the strength necessary to return to work.
