My mom has always been independent, relying on social security for several years. In July, she was diagnosed with an aggressive, fast-growing cancer. She began treatment right away, but recently her doctor told us that the current protocol isn’t enough to address the severity of her illness. Now, she needs to pursue additional, more aggressive treatments to give her the best chance at recovery.
