Help Sandra Stay Safe at Home

My name is Sandra, and I’m living with spinocerebellar ataxia—a rare, progressive disease that affects my ability to walk, talk, and even write. Since my diagnosis in 2017, my condition has steadily worsened. I used to be able to manage stairs, but now every step is a challenge, and I rely on a walker to get around. I manage most things by myself, but it’s become increasingly difficult to access the upstairs rooms in my home or safely use my shower. I’ve fallen several times, and while I’ve been fortunate to avoid serious injury, the risk is always there.

I’m raising funds to install a stairlift and a walk-in tub in my home. These changes would make my daily life much safer and help me regain a bit of normalcy that this disease has taken away. Being able to move around my home and bathe safely would mean so much for my independence and peace of mind. I want to continue living my life as fully as possible, despite the challenges I face every day.

Your support would be a true blessing. I hope that by sharing my story, I can bring more awareness to this life-changing disease and show others that even in difficult times, there is hope. Thank you for considering helping me on this journey.
