My name is Sandra, and I am reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times in my life. On September 30, 2025, I suffered a bad fall and broke my shoulder in three places. The injury was so severe that I needed shoulder replacement surgery on October 9, 2025. Since the day before my accident, I have not been able to work and am currently on a leave of absence from my job. My doctor has placed me on a 10lb lift restriction, and I still do not know when I will be able to return to work. Unfortunately, because of my medical restrictions and leave of absence, I am not eligible for unemployment benefits. I did receive a one-time payment to help with my December rent, but now I am struggling to cover my basic needs, and the bills keep coming.

I am in desperate need of help to cover my rent, cellphone bill, electric bill, internet bill, and groceries. These are the essentials that I need to get by while I recover from surgery and try to regain my strength. The uncertainty of not knowing when I can return to work has been overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to stay positive and hopeful. Every day is a challenge, but I am determined to get through this with the support of my community.

I know times are hard for many others, especially with the holidays upon us. If you can find it in your heart to lend any support, it would mean the world to me.
