My name is Heather and I’m from Montego Bay Jamaica. On October 28th hurricane Melissa tore through my mom’s community in Tucker St. James, leaving a trail of devastation in its path.

Unfortunately, my mom’s Sandra Moore’s house the place she has called home for over 30 years was completely destroyed. The roof was ripped off, the walls gave way, and she has lost most of all belongings to the hurricane.

I’m heartbroken, but I’m holding on to hope. She is safe but we are trying to raise enough funds to rebuild a safe and stable home. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward materials, repairs, and essential household items to start over.

Hurricane Melissa may have taken her home, but it hasn’t taken her spirit. With your kindness and support, I believe we can rebuild not just her home but her life.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping my mom find her way back home.

Every bit of love, prayer, or donation is deeply appreciated.
