Help Sandra raise funds for GKR brain surgery

This fundraiser is for my friend,
Sandra Morgan, who lives in Jamaica. My name is Maureen Brown. As Sandra’s friend, I felt the need to start this GoFundMe campaign for her, after she’d  started experiencing more health issues.

Sandra has a brain tumour, (Meningioma), and is scheduled to have a Gamma Knife Radio-surgery, April 29, 2021.

Sandra has had several heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and frequent fainting spells. She’s also been hospitalized numerous times.
The tumour is now pressing behind her left
eye, which then causes her eyelid to touch the frame of her glasses.

Sandra is unable to work because of this medical condition. She even had to discontinue her studies in nursing school.

This surgery cannot be done in Jamaica. It will be done in Florida and the cost is over
$15,000.00 US. This cost includes the surgery and hotel stay, because Sandra does not have any relatives in Florida.

An Excerpt from one of Sandra’s Doctors:
 
MS. SANDRA MORGAN is a 55 year-old
female who has been diagnosed with a Brain
Lesion (Meningioma). I have reviewed the
patient’s medical records and MRI images in
my medical opinion the patient will require
Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, as soon as
possible. Terms for payment have been
discussed with patient. No public funds from
the government of the United States will be
claimed or requested to cover the medical
costs.

I would appreciate you granting the patient
and companions temporary medical visas for
the months of February and March 2021, as
the patient will need to be under my medical
attention for a few days.

Note: Patients are required to have
companion upon discharge from the hospital.

Please note the above-mentioned surgery is
presently not available in Jamaica. In our
center, we have successfully treated over
10,000 over 26 years and we instruct every
patient to meet with their local physicians for
follow up one week after the treatment has
been performed.
