Help Sandra get through Cancer

Hi, my name is Denise, and I am fundraising for my friend Sandra Hendrix. A couple of months ago, Sandra knew she had something wrong and began the journey of finding answers. After countless tests, doctor appointments, and lab work, she received life-changing news, esophageal cancer. For the last few weeks, she traveled to MD Anderson in Houston for further tests. They staged the tumor at t3n1. T3 has embedded into the deeper layers of the esophagus and is also in the upper part of the stomach. N1 means it is only in 1 lymph node. The excellent news is that it has not metastasized. The treatment plan is still being finalized, but we know that she will be in Houston for up to 6 weeks at a time for treatment. Sandra is a very private and independent person but has agreed to share her journey for several reasons. 1. No one gets through this alone. Hopefully, sharing her journey may help others who find themselves faced with this challenge. Her way to pay it forward. 2. Her focus needs to be on healing and recovery. Hopefully, we can help relieve the stress of worrying about the expenses. Even with insurance, there is going to be significant debt. 3.
