Help Sandi Replace her Home
Friends, many of you know Sandi Hood Davis and for those who do not, please allow me to introduce you.
Sandi has been a dear friend of mine since 2008. We met through our mutual employer and soon realized how much we have in common with our small-town roots to include our love of fried chicken and creamed corn!
Sandi grew up in the Glades and was married to Alvis Davis for 31 years until his death in 2014. In 2018 Sandi’s employer, for over 18 years, permanently closed the office she was the Director of, leaving Sandi unemployed. In an effort to provide affordable housing for herself Sandi sold her home and purchased, a modest, used camper for sustainable living. Sandi is currently employed as a Substance Abuse Counselor at an area prison and is the pastor of New Bethel AME Church in Indiantown.
On June 29, 2021 Sandi’s camper was struck by lightning damaging the electrical system of her home leaving her without a refrigerator, hot water heater, air conditioner, and lights. Additionally, there is previous water damage to at least one wall and the floors leaving them “soft” to walk on. The lightning damage and rotting floors leave Sandi in tremendous financial need.
Our goal is to raise $20,000.00 to replace Sandi’s current home with a well maintained, used, camper. Funds will be utilized for Sandi’s replacement camper and any expenses incurred for the transition.
Thank you, in advance, for your help in supporting Sandi during this difficult time. Your contribution is greatly appreciated!
