Hi, Pam Mark Hall here. Our dear friend, Sandi Stonehill, takes two buses in L.A. to get to her job as nanny. That ride is two hours each way. Sandi needs a car. Sandi needs our help to buy a car to give her back time and energy.

But first let me tell you her story.

There once was a young woman who gave her heart to Jesus. She aspired to be a servant to others to let God’s love shine through her. This was at the height of the Jesus Music Movement. She married a pioneering Jesus Music artist and was happy to be supporting the work he was doing. They had a baby. Sandi was happy to be a stay-at-home mom as well as supporting her husband’s ministry/career. Sandi believed God would provide her needs.

Then came the divorce. The details of what, why, when and where is not my story to tell. But it is a fact. They divorced. The aftermath is what I feel an urgent need to tell.

Sandi had focused all of her talents and energies nurturing and supporting her family. She had not anticipated she would ever need to enter the workforce. Like many women in her position, she found her main opportunities from families needing a competent, caring nanny and/or caregiver.

Sandi is a wonderful nurturer. After the divorce, she moved in with her mother and step-father to become their loving caregiver. She also began working as a nanny – nurturing children of upwardly mobile professionals.

But Sandi has to take a two-hour trip on two buses to get to her job. It’s high time we step up and nurture this wonderful, loving nurturer.

Yes, Pam. Jerry, here. I’ve known Sandi since the early ‘80s, since she’s been a close friend of my band, Daniel Amos (DA). She’s been involved in charitable causes for many years and active in putting her Christian faith to work with organizations like Compassion International. Sandi has given of herself generously, and it’s time we gave back to her in her time of need. Many of you have helped me through the years. Please show the same love to our dear friend, Sandi.
