With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Sanaa. Sanaa ‘s life was one of selflessness and love. Her dedication and commitment to helping others will always be remembered. Her courage and strength stood as an example to all and her legacy will live on in our hearts. 

Sanaa you were a light in our lives and we will always be grateful for the moments we shared. 

We are mourning the loss of our friend and companion, who made an impression on everyone she met. Please join us for a memorial service in her honour. Sunday, August 20th from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the Kay Arena (99 Wynwood Dr, Moncton)

Sanaa is a friend, a sister and a mom of 3 young beautiful kids. In September 2020 she was diagnosed unfortunately, with stage 4 Glioblastoma (aggressive type of brain cancer). She had since undergone surgery, chemo and radiation. Last week she learned that the cancer had spread. In addition to the pain of radiation and chemo, she has lost the use of her left hand. She will have to start new combined treatments. Sanaa’s situation will need more resources and will likely have more side effects. Needless to say that the situation is critical.

For those who have been touched by cancer, you know this type of diagnosis affects more than just the patient. Sanaa‘s diagnosis has impacted her family and upended normal daily life. While many of the medical costs are covered by insurance, there are a lot of out-of-pocket medical and travel expenses associated with her ongoing treatment. Her friends are raising money to help ease the financial burden, allowing Sanaa and her family to focus on beating this dreadful disease! Please help us share her story and raise money to offset her growing medical expenses.

The pandemic made it very difficult to have family support during these difficult times specially that Sanaa’s family lives 5000kms away from Moncton. On the top of everything, Sanaa’s lost her full-time job while she was in a long-term leave and undergoing treatments. This situation made even more difficult emotionally and financially.
