Help Samy Aref

Dear friends and colleagues,

As many of you know, our friend Samy’s apartment complex in Somerville, New Jersey suffered tremendous damage from the flooding related to Hurricane Ida on Wednesday, September 1st. Samy's car was completely submerged and is completely inoperable. In addition, all personal belongings in his car have been completely destroyed. Due to continuously rising flood waters, Samy had to be evacuated from his home by the fire department and brought to higher ground via raft. Right now, Samy is unable to return to his apartment and needs our help. This will be a difficult time for Samy as he has to assess the damage and replace belongings. Anything you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated and will be used to replace lost and damaged items as well as manage expenses while Samy is displaced. Any funds raised will be going directly to Samy.
