Help Samwise Fight For A Diagnosis

This is Samwise Hamgee, our beloved beagle. My partner adopted him when he was small enough to fit in one of his hands and he's the greatest friend we could ever ask for. He's got more personality than any dog I have ever owned or lived with before and there is so much spunk in life in him yet.

A few weeks ago, he started showing signs of being sick. He was lethargic, reluctant to eat, and was trembling like he was in pain. Obviously, this was really concerning, and we brought him to the vet. Samwise has now been to three different vets now including specialists and we still don't know what's wrong with him. He has a litany of strange symptoms and we just cannot afford to continue to run tests on him without outside help.

This is my partner's soul dog. He has been in pieces seeing his best friend go from a happy, healthy, 30lbs beagle to less than 25 pounds and constantly suffering. We just want our Sammy back - he doesn't even bark anymore, something he used to do all the time. The worst part is that we don't even know what we are treating for or what is wrong with him. At the end of the day, extensive testing and treatment would probably end up being somewhere in the ballpark of 3-5 grand and we just cannot afford to pay for that out of pocket. We have discussed pet insurance in the past, but even if we did have him on pet insurance they would probably chalk this up as a pre-existing condition and refuse to cover it - not to mention many pet insurances have yearly spending limits so they won't cover all the treatment he needs.

All we want is for our dog to be well again. I implore you, if you have a few dollars to spare, every penny is appreciated and will go towards funding his treatment.
