Hi there, my name is Joëlle and I am raising money to help Samuel, who I have met during one of my surftrips in West-Africa.

Samuel Kpadonou is a passionate and dedicated surfer who has made it his mission to share the joy of surfing with the people of Benin, West Africa. As a pioneer and founder of a surf school in Cotonou (Ecole de Surf Cotonou), Samuel teaches young people and enthusiasts how to ride the waves with great enthusiasm and love for the ocean. His work is not just about surfing — it’s about building community, creating opportunities, and inspiring a deeper connection to Benin’s stunning coastline.

However, Samuel faces a significant challenge: he is limited by transportation.

He relies on a motorbike to transport his equipment to the surf spots. This means he has to make multiple trips back and forth to bring essential gear like surfboards and wetsuits, making it impractical and unsafe. This limitation also prevents him from fully utilising his teaching capacity, leaving eager students waiting to experience the waves.

That’s why we’re raising funds to help Samuel purchase a reliable vehicle. With a car, he could:
