My name is Sam, Samuel, or some may also know me as Pastel. I am currently going on my second full year living in Los Angeles after moving back in 2024.
Living in LA has been a blessing and has put me back on an incredible path in my life. I am not only one year sober but I am connecting and making changes within my communities.
That being said I come to you today in need of assistance as I am moving! Which is exciting but I find myself in a difficult position to navigate alone.
Earlier in March I was in negotiations to stay in my current unit, unfortunately, last week those discussions fell through. After searching high and low I found a similar unit in my same apartment complex for less money (yay!).
However, I am now working on securing the new lease and also wrapping up my current one. This leaves me with three rents to cover at the moment.
- The last month of rent (current unit)
- The prorated rent for the new unit (as I move in on April 21st)
- The first full month of May’s rent as well.
This is a lot for me to take on by myself and truly puts myself in a difficult position to cover as I also cover my student loans, credit cards, and utilities every month as well.
I am not good at asking for help but I also know “closed mouths don’t get fed”.
Whatever you are able to offer I am eternally grateful for and appreciate beyond words can describe.
