Help Samuel & Sebastián After Losing Both Parents and Grandmother in the Venezuela Earthquake. My name is Liz Marrero, and I am the aunt of Samuel (12) and Sebastián (16).

In a matter of seconds, the devastating earthquake in Venezuela changed their lives forever.

The apartment building where they lived collapsed, taking the lives of both of their parents, Kairol Marrero and Roberto Brito and their maternal grandmother, Norellys Marrero, my mother, who was found deceased five days after the tragedy.

By what can only be described as a miracle, Samuel survived. He was found alive after being shielded by his parents during the collapse. He remains hospitalized with serious injuries while beginning the long road to recovery. Sebastián also survived and is now facing the unimaginable loss of his family while caring for his younger brother.

These boys have lost not only the people they loved most, they have lost their home, their belongings, and the life they once knew.

I live in Los Angeles, California, while the boys remain in Venezuela. I, Liz Marrero, their maternal aunt and the organizer of this campaign, will personally receive and administer all funds raised through this fundraiser.

Due to changes in the boys’ family and administrative circumstances, I have assumed direct responsibility for managing the funds raised on their behalf through this campaign.

All donations will be used solely for Sebastián and Samuel’s needs, including housing, medical care, recovery, education, daily expenses, and their long-term stability.

En cuestión de segundos, el devastador terremoto ocurrido en Venezuela cambió sus vidas para siempre.

El edificio donde vivían colapsó, causando el fallecimiento de sus padres, Kairol Marrero y Roberto Brito y su abuela materna, Norellys Marrero, mi madre, a quien encontramos sin vida 5 días después de la tragedia.

Por un verdadero milagro, Samuel sobrevivió. Fue encontrado con vida después de haber sido protegido por sus padres durante el derrumbe. Hoy permanece hospitalizado con lesiones graves mientras comienza un largo proceso de recuperación. Sebastián también sobrevivió y ahora enfrenta el inmenso dolor de haber perdido a su familia mientras cuida de su hermano menor.

Estos dos niños no solo perdieron a las personas que más amaban; también perdieron su hogar, todas sus pertenencias y la vida que conocían.

Vivo en Los Ángeles, California, mientras que los niños permanecen en Venezuela. Yo, Liz Marrero, su tía materna y organizadora de esta campaña, seré quien reciba y administre personalmente todos los fondos recaudados a través de esta campaña.

Debido a cambios recientes en las circunstancias familiares y administrativas de los niños, he asumido directamente la responsabilidad de gestionar los fondos recaudados en su beneficio a través de esta campaña.
