“He’s one of the good ones”… a phrase that seems overused sometimes but is just so accurate when it comes to describing Sammy Simpson. He is one of the good ones....the life of the party, the one who always has an infectious smile on his face, the one who provides for his family, the sweet, kind, fun- loving breath of fresh air that bounces into your life and makes you feel special! He’s a wonderful husband, father, papaw, and friend! And now he needs all the prayer warriors out there to join together along with him and his family as he prepares for the fight of his life.
At just 46 years old, he has been diagnosed with an inoperable glioblastoma brain tumor (stage 4)…there is no cure. Cancer is ugly; it does not discriminate. This awful brain tumor is trying hard to take away his joy and his smile. This blow came out of nowhere, and of course, it is taking a toll on him and his family. Prayers are the absolute main thing we ask for.. prayers for strength, courage, peace, and comfort for him, his family, his friends, and wisdom for his doctors to treat him with the best possible care. Unfortunately, the reality is.. unexpected blows like this come with heavy financial burdens. Sammy is such a hard worker, who loves his job and the company he works for and his main concern since the beginning is wondering when he will be able to get back to work. Sammy has always been the sole provider, which has allowed his wife Jennifer to stay at home and raise their children and these days, help watch their grandchildren. Their youngest son, Raleigh, is also preparing to graduate high school in May of this year and attend college in the fall. As this precious family faces this difficult battle ahead of them, we would love to be able to at least help eliminate some of the financial worries and stress associated with this horrific time and allow his wife and children to spend these moments focusing on caring for him and cherishing the time they have left. The radiation alone will cost them $10,000. The doctors say that it will help slow the process of this horrible tumor and help to lesson the symtoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 NIV
