Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm raising money to help my son Sammy go to the Ribumia Cup in Spain with the Canadian Academy of Futbol (CAF) U10 team from June 19 - June 26.
Sammy has been playing soccer since he was a toddler. At the age of 6, he was accepted into a Burlington soccer academy to play with their U8 team.
When he turned 9 he wanted to play with a more competitive team so we moved to an academy in Oakville that he absolutely loves. This team plays in the peel halton soccer league on Saturdays, they also play in a more competitive private league on Sundays and they attend many tournaments around Canada and the U.S.A.
Sammy's love, commitment and passion for the sport has him playing soccer 5-6 times a week. He's working hard with his Academy 4 times a week and he has private training 1-2 times a week. Sammy eats, breathes and sleeps soccer.
When the opportunity to try out for the Ribumia Cup in Spain came up with CAF it was one of Sammy's dreams. To make the team is beyond an honour.
Travel costs are high especially since we are a single-income family because of my autoimmune/connective tissue illness. Any help to get Sammy to Spain would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Andrea
