Help Sammie Get the Critical Care She Needs

Our beloved dog, Sammie, is facing a challenging and uncertain journey after a recent emergency visit revealed serious, life-altering health issues. Sammie was rushed to the MSU ER after showing signs of respiratory distress. The staff were able to stabilize her, but given her symptoms, they’re still unsure of her diagnosis. We’re heartbroken to learn that Sammie needs further specialty diagnostics and treatments to get to the bottom of the problem and give her a fighting chance.

After managing her symptoms as best as we could through my work at a general veterinary clinic, we hit a breaking point on Monday. Her recent blood work showed concerningly high levels, indicating severe internal organ dysfunction. Unfortunately, things have only worsened since then—she’s become reluctant to eat or drink, and she’s been vomiting after meals, despite receiving supportive care such as IV fluids and anti-nausea medications.

We’re deeply worried that her condition is deteriorating rapidly, and we urgently need specialized diagnostics to determine what’s really going on and how we can move forward with treatment. These additional tests and treatments are critical to determining the best course of action, but they come with significant costs that we simply can’t manage on our own right now.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards covering the expenses for these vital tests, consultations with specialists, and any treatments that may follow. We want to give Sammie every chance possible to heal and recover, but we can’t do it without your support.
