Help Sammie Get Her Ultrasound and Treatments

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Jaden, but you may know me online as Dusky J! I am an artist and gearhead, but my biggest passion is animals. This is why I come to you today to humbly ask for your help for my sweet kitty Samantha.

Around two years ago, I had another GoFundMe open for Sammie when she had gotten sick once before. For some odd reason, that GoFundMe is now gone- I had planned to update that one with this information, but it seems I will have to make a new one.

Samantha has had various health issues within the past ~2 years that have costed us a great deal. I have used all my savings, a large portion of my credit limit, and have sold countless items to try and make money for all of her procedures and treatments. I am still trying to recuperate her first bout of issues. I would do anything for her, but it is definitely very expensive (and I know these costs aren’t necessarily the vet’s fault- i am a certified veterinary assistant and know the costs to run a practice and know vets want nothing more than to help animals for free). Last time she became ill, I had just been put out of work and on disability as I developed symptoms that were interfering with the safety of my warehouse/order selection job (which turned out to be POTS). I have been on short term disability and now long term disability, and I am trying very hard to get back to work. This is why Sammie’s vet visits, treatments, et cetera are so difficult for me.
As of late January, Sammie was straining to urinate, and her urine was bloody. We took her to emergency where she received pain medication as well as a urinalysis. Due to Sammie struggling with chronic constipation in the past, I mentioned this to the veterinarian, which prompted her to do a rectal exam, as well. Whilst being examined, the doctor found a mass pushing up on her colon, and is concerned this could be pressing on her bladder and causing these issues (UTIs were ruled out with the urinalysis, as no bacteria was found in her urine; only blood and a slight amount of protein from inflammation was noted). It is suggested for me to have an ultrasound performed on her to find exactly where this mass is. This will be ~$1000 or more depending on the practice. I was quoted ~$1100 at the emergency, and my usual vet does not perform ultrasounds any longer. After figuring out where this mass could be, other surgeries could be required. If it is in her uterus, a spay (I have been quoted from $600-$1000) and possibly a sample sent to histo will be recommended. If it is elsewhere, this could incur other costs for removal, histo, and other procedures/treatments, depending on where it is. I am starting with a goal of $4000 to hopefully be able to cover all of the required procedures for my girl. Attached below in the “Updates” section are her recent treatment costs, results, and the quote for the ultrasound.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to my plea, and I am eternally thankful for any donations as well as shares or word-of-mouth. Thank you so very much!
