On August 19, Samm and Lucky’s lives changed when a fire swept through their apartment building in Spring Branch, destroying their home and hundreds of others. In the aftermath, they’ve found temporary shelter with family, but the loss goes far beyond just a place to stay. Both Samm and Lucky recently lost close relatives, and many of the sentimental items passed down to them were destroyed in the fire. The emotional toll of losing these irreplaceable memories has been immense.

Samm and Lucky are deeply rooted in the Spring Branch community as part of the 1810 Ojeman Family, a local artist and music collective, venue, and neighborhood gathering spot.
