My name is Diana. I am a friend of the Jami family. As most of you know, Samiya and Isaiah recently brought a beautiful baby boy, Prynce into this world. Not long after Prynce was born, Samiya started having pain and was told by her doctors it was normal with a C-Section. The pain persisted and grew increasingly worse and she was taken by ambulance to the hospital and admitted. They found an abscess on her ovary and performed surgery to drain it. After surgery, Samiya developed a fever and became septic. Isaiah, Bonnie and Keisha, among other family members have been taking turns caring for baby Prynce while Samiya remains hospitalized. She has had blood transfusions and is being given IV antibiotics and pain meds. A 2nd possible abscess or cyst was found on the other side after the pain and fever came back with a vengeance. She is still receiving the pain meds and antibiotics until they figure out next steps. With all this happening, Isaiah has had to miss work to be by Samiya's side and care for Prynce.
