Help Samir Survive A Famine

Hello guys, this fundraiser was created with the help of my friend Adam.

Our goal is to help the Kilani family have a better life and the opportunity to survive and live. Expenses will go towards necessities of life, like food, blankets, firewood, utensils, etc.

Meet the Al-Kilani family! My family consists of 7 members. First of all, I am Samir. I am managing this campaign. I am 21 years old.

My father, Muhammad, is 50 years old.

My mother, Douha, is 40 years old.

My oldest brother, Imad, is 20.

My younger brother, Abdul Rahman, is 17 years old.

My youngest, Khaled, is 15 years old.

My only sister, Haya, is 10 years old.

In addition, my paralyzed grandmother, who is over 60 years old, lives with us. My grandmother suffers from several chronic diseases. She cannot bear these difficult days without care. She has much difficulty in finding her own medicine, and if she manages to find it, it will be very expensive. My grandmother needs a better life than this. She needs your help in getting a better life as well.

Let's talk next about our beautiful house.

My father spent all his money and savings in order to build a new, independent house for us. This was only a few months before the war, in addition to furnishing our house and purchasing living necessities.

Then this devastating war came and destroyed everything we worked for as if nothing had happened.

When the war came, we were displaced to the south of the Gaza Strip by a categorical order from the army, but we were unable to find a place to settle. When we left our house for the south, we left everything we owned and were not able to bring anything with us.

We were stripped of dignity, homeless and vulnerable in the streets, until we were able to buy some wood and paper and set up a small tent to shelter us in. This is the period of our displacement.

We bought some items so we could live, such as bedding, kitchen utensils, etc. It was really expensive. My father spent all his money during this period. To this end, I created this fundraiser for my family so that we can escape this injustice and torture, and have a new opportunity to live and have a new life abroad.

An afterword from Adam: Hello everyone! I am Adam, and I am one of Samir's friends currently living in the US.

I am helping Samir fundraise since I have reliable internet, and managing a fundraiser alone is a heck of a lot when you are going through an extreme survival scenario, like he is. We are both the same age; while I am hanging out with friends, going to work and living some of the most formative years of my life, my friend Samir is forced to live in fear, desperately looking for food, shelter and ways to stay warm. He no longer has time to pursue his hobbies, go to college, or visit anybody. There is no bed for him to go to after a long day, dinner for him to eat, or video games to escape the world.

I consider all of this a necessity, so why does Samir not get this too? I am helping Samir survive so one day he can have these things too. After all that is happened, this is the least he deserves.
