Help Samir & Our Family Through His Leukemia Battle

Hi, my name is Shimes (Zeba) and I’m reaching out for support as my 7-month-old son, Samir, fights acute myeloid leukemia (AML)—an aggressive form of leukemia that requires months of inpatient chemotherapy. This journey will last 7-8 months, and between the chemo treatment and waiting for his normal cells to come back, the process can take 30-40 days or even longer each round, depending on how his little body responds.

We are currently in his second round of chemotherapy, and while I remain by his side, I am also the mother of four other beautiful school-aged children. Balancing everything has been extremely difficult. I have lost my job, but I am doing everything I can to provide for my family through hair braiding and photography when possible.
