I am posting this on behalf of my daughter Samie because we have exhausted all other efforts and don’t know what else to do. We have known for a bit now that Samie was going to need to have her wisdom teeth removed. The lower ones are side ways and putting pressure to the point that her front teeth are starting to over lap. They are currently partially erupted and we were told that it puts her at higher risk of infection. She already deals with seizures and other neurological issues so we don’t want to have an infection make that worse. Over the last 6 months after her insurance denied the claim we have tried care credit and other financing options with no luck. She has started having migraines and extreme pain in her jaw to the point of going to the ER for relief. We recently found out about the dental college here in Memphis and went to their emergency clinic only to be told it will take until August or longer to get it done there. Samie has been miserable and living with constant head aches. I got a rough quote from an oral surgeon in town and was told it will be about $3400 from start to finish.
