Help Sami Heal with Stem Cell Therapy

Sami has an amazing opportunity to receive Stem Cell Therapy for her chronic traumatic brain injury in February 2022!!
Sami Fagen, was a Senior at Oakwood Secondary School when she was in a terrible car accident on Saturday, May 26th, 2018.

Early Saturday morning, a police officer called and said our oldest daughter, Sami, had been admitted at UCLA Intensive Care Unit from an overturned car accident where she had to be mechanically extracted from a Toyota Prius. She was stable but critical, induced coma for several more days, multiple injuries including a fractured pelvis, fractured elbow, brain swelling, neck fracture, and a lacerated liver.

This is my oldest step-daughter, Sami, now 22 years old, who was on her first date and was a passenger in a car. The crash happened on a winding road in the Palisades with a childhood friend. Sami was about to graduate high school to attend Marist College that Fall in Poughkeepsie, New York to study psychology. No drugs or alcohol involved - both really good students. Very Tragic. Sami is the oldest of 7 siblings: 6 sisters and 1 brother. She loves to dance. She is a natural artist and has an eye for fashion.

Since 2018 Sami has recovered from multiple injuries, however, she remains in a minimally conscious state after being in various hospitals for 2 years. She is now stable and healthy while living at home for 2 years with her family but needs 24-hour care. She has a tracheotomy and a G-tube and spends her day in her bed, wheelchair, and tilt table. Sami is still in a minimally conscious state but she has recently shown some positive signs that she's still in there and is fighting to come back. Lately, she has been moving her right arm, and the other day she laughed and had a huge smile on her face - the first time this has happened since her accident. We can feel her engaging her muscles and helping us out when we do range-of-motion exercises.

An overview of the injuries and points of recovery we are looking to achieve with Stem Cell Therapy:

Healed Injuries and Stable Conditions:

- A closed C2 fracture that is held together with a pin. It did not affect her spinal cord.
- Right side craniectomy.
- Pelvic fracture and elbow fracture.
- She had a stage 4 decubitus ulcer.
- Seizures: It is unclear whether it affected her brainstem, but her ocular nerve is fine.
- She had 2 cranioplasties. The first they replaced with her own bone, but after 6 months it started to be reabsorbed, so she had a second cranioplasty with an implant.
- The cranioplasties made her to go into status epilepticus and have small strokes on her left hemisphere. She now has limited motion on both sides of her body and minimal control over them. At the time she was able to move only the right side of her body.

The Healing Journey Continues:

- Sami currently is still dealing with a diffuse traumatic brain injury (TBI) with loss of consciousness which affects her right frontal lobe where the impact was.
- It was discovered she had hydrocephalus and they put in a shunt in her left ventricle which caused a subdural hygroma in the insertion spot.
- She still has hydrocephalus but the shunt helps keep it under control.
- She has a tracheostomy and G-tube.
- She has a skin condition called hidradenitis suppurativa (stage 1).

STEM CELL THERAPY

There isn't a standard protocol for chronic TBI, so Sami will be making history! The initial home treatment consists of 2-3 Exosome IVs, each IV will contain 15 Billion Stem Cell Exosomes. If all goes well, she could have a seven-day treatment. There are also additional physician fees, including travel expenses for the Doctor and nursing staff. We will document Sami's healing journey, and with success, she has the opportunity to save and help many others. Sami will also receive energy healing to complement her therapy.

We are grateful to everyone that has been supportive of Sami's healing journey!
