Hi, I’m Sami and asking for help is extremely difficult for me, but I have no other options.

Since October 2024 I’ve been battling a multitude of health issues including COVID, pneumonia, heart failure, kidney disease and diabetes. I’ve had at least 4 hospital admissions since the beginning of this year for these various health conditions and have been off work for weeks at a time during these hospitalizations.

Most recently I was flown emergently to University of Michigan Hospital from Corewell Lakeland for eye surgery to prevent me from going blind. Since that initial surgery I have had 2 other follow up surgeries. I haven’t been able to see to even use my phone (I currently have a friend typing this out for me), therefore I haven’t been able to work for the past month and for the foreseeable future. Obviously, bills don’t stop coming despite not working and having medical issues. I am looking at having my car repossessed, evicted from my apartment, and having to get food from the food bank. Even just a little bit for bills and catching up would go so far.
