I'm reaching out for urgent help. After over 2 years of dedicated service at the care company I worked for, I was subjected to a summary dismissal for alleged gross misconduct. This has immediately cut off my income and put me in financial hardship.
I was dismissed on 30th October by the care company I worked for on the premise that I had breached specific, restrictive clauses in an employment contract. The company is accusing me of "poaching clients"—an allegation that stems from my plan to go self-employed so I could provide better care for my clients, as I believe the care company's profit-driven approach consistently compromises their best interests.
During the internal appeal process, I noticed that the primary document they used to justify my dismissal—my supposed signed contract—is a complete forgery. I never signed it, saw it, nor agreed to those specific restrictive terms. The contract is now under police investigation for fraud. I loved my role very much and I have always pushed to give the best care possible to my clients.
My appeal is underway, but I must be prepared to escalate this to an Employment Tribunal and, potentially, pursue a separate civil claim due to the severity of the forgery claim. I cannot afford to hire a specialist Employment Solicitor myself.
Every donation will go directly towards two essential areas, legal advice and assistance and essential living expenses, namely covering essential costs while I am unemployed and focused on resolving this matter, bridging the gap until the legal process is resolved and I can secure a new position in self employment.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me.
