My wife, Samantha Yerks, was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma in November of last year. This is a non-cancerous brain tumor that forms between the inner ear and brain. On Wednesday, February 26th, she will be going through a surgery to have it removed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. This is something I have personally not told many people about because I am a very private person, and obviously, this is an event that weighs extremely heavy on my heart. It has been hard these last few months to deal with the thoughts and emotions without showing them on the outside. We together have made the choice, due to the circumstances of both of us needing to be out of work for, at this point, an undetermined amount of time, to do a GoFundMe. At minimum, it would help to have the out-of-pocket costs for this surgery covered.

I am a person that has too much pride to ask for even compassion, let alone money. So understand that this is something that I am doing because I care about my wife more than anything in the world and will do anything to ensure that she gets anything she needs.
