Earlier this year, I noticed my vision had changed while I was recovering from pneumonia. Wanting to be proactive, I scheduled a routine eye exam, never expecting anything serious. During the exam, my doctor found a concerning freckle in my eye and referred me to a specialist. After several appointments and ultrasounds, I received the news that the freckle is likely melanoma. Another specialist confirmed the diagnosis, and I am now scheduled for surgery and radiation treatment to remove the tumor.
This diagnosis has turned my family’s world upside down. I will be hospitalized for at least a week during radiation treatment and have already missed work for multiple appointments. While my insurance covers a portion of the costs, the remaining medical bills are more than I can manage on my own. These large medical expenses have also made keeping up with everyday expenses and providing for my son and family difficult.
I am reaching out for help because I want to focus on healing and being there for my child, and family without the constant worry of falling behind on bills. Any support you can offer would mean the world to us and help us get through this challenging time. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
