Help Samantha Overcome Her Liver Shunt

Donation protected
In January 2025, we lost our 15-year-old Tuxedo cat to abdominal cancer; so a few months later, we went out in search of new kitten friends to love and share our home with.

That's when we met Samantha and Bianca. They are two beautiful all-black kittens from a litter of four, and we had to take them home upon first sight.

Samantha was the runt of the litter, but that didn't stop us; her cute little face drew us in that much more.

Over time, Samantha became sickly, and in June, she began having seizures.

With the incredible care at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, we learned Samantha has a liver shunt. This means her tiny little body is not properly filtering out the toxins from her body, causing her liver to fail and triggering the seizures.

Samantha is having surgery to correct the issue on August 12, and while the veterinary care has been incredible, it is costly. The current estimate for her surgery (not including care she has already had) is $10-$14,000.

We want to give Samantha the best chance to live her life with us and her big sister, so anything is a help.

Samantha gives her thanks with head rubs, cuddles, and sometimes yelling directly in your face.
