Hi my name is Jacqui, I am Samantha’s Mum, Samantha is a Type 1 Diabetic from the age of 11.

I don’t even know what to expect from doing this just that I am desperate just for one good Doctor to say “you know what we are going to help this girl”

Samantha does not control her Diebetes it controls her! She has now lost the sight of both eyes, with only 5% vision in her left eye.

Diebetes is an evil disease, she also has the following caused by the Diebetes :

• Kidney Disease
• Gastroparesis - her food does not digest therefore her blood sugar is all over the place.
• Neuropathy - just this alone is very spiteful, feeling like you are being whipped & electrocuted.
• Fibromyalgia - Chronic widespread pain.
• Polcystic Ovary Syndrome- Preventing Samantha having a baby.

I am hoping to raise enough money to get medical help she needs where Samantha’s can get her life back on track & live normal life.

All Samantha’s hospital appointments are telephone appointments only, whilst I appreciate the NHS have done an outstanding job through the pandemic it doesn’t help in these situations. Her appointment for her Gastoparesis is 15th December, I fear that will be too late,

She was not dealt a good hand from birth having Meningitis- Meningococcal Septicaemia, Doctors gave her 12 hours to live, but at 4 months old she got through it, leaving her deaf in one ear.

All she wants is her eyesight, health & to go to work, that’s normal isn’t it? She’s accepted she can’t have children, don’t even know if her little frail body could cope with pregnancy!

It’s so hard to see your child deteriorate before your eyes and listen to them saying they no longer want to live!

Anyone who knows Sam will know she is beautiful inside & out, always there for everyone, my little earth angel.

As I said I don’t know what to expect from this, maybe it will reach someone who can help! I just know time is not on her side.
