Help Samantha Jayne on her Cancer Journey ❤️‍

Hello we’re the Kramers and are starting a Go Fund me page for our daughter , our sister Samantha Jayne. She has always been full of excitement, energy and always wanting to make the world a better place. Her smile can light up an entire room. Always dedicated to working hard since the age of 14. She walks to and from work to help reduce pollution in our city. Picking up trash along the way. Always on the go rollerskating, bike riding, hiking and climbing mountains.

Now I write this because of How quickly life can change.

Ninety days ago she was promoted to kitchen manager. A promotion she had worked long, hard hours to obtain. Being in the kitchen is everything she knows and breathes. Constantly on the move creating, running around making sure that only the best food leaves the kitchen.

January 12th is when our world was turned upside down. About two week prior she began having discomfort in her knee while doing her regular daily activities. But nothing major (at least we thought) the morning of January 12th she woke up after having teeth pulled several days prior in severe pain with her knee having a slight buckle in it when her normal body weight was applied. Worried that she somehow had septic arthritis she was told to go to a hospital for treatment. When her original test came back with nothing abnormal coming up. They were worried about the extreme pain that had begun to grow by the moment. They extended the blood panel testing and gave her leg a quick examination and x-ray. They discovered a large aggressive growth in her knee, then her blood came back. Asked to come back to a consultation room she was set down and told it was cancer. The room felt heavy, and small, 'this can't be right' 'are you sure?'.

But the worst part was yet to come. The next day on January 13th we'd learn how serious the actual growth had become. They ran a biopsy test that came back more than abnormal, originally thinking it was big cell cancer with a benign tumor. They ran more tests, they told us there was a 1% chance of it being malignant; she's that 1%.

January 24th they were able to confirm shaking our whole family to the core. A malignant neoplasm in her left tibia, a cancer so rare only 300 people end up getting it every year. Treatment had to be rushed to start due to the aggressive state the tumor itself is in.

She is now forced into all day bed rest in fear that any movement will snap the bone that has become literally paper thin. She will start the most aggressive chemotherapy treatment to stop the spread of the tumor for the next 3 months to then have reconstructive knee surgery followed by 6 additional months of chemotherapy.

She went from always being able to work and live a free healthy life to being overwhelmed with fear and guilt of needing help and assistance. Our goal is to try and keep her life as normal as possible during this whole process and journey so she can keep her home she worked so hard to have. To be able to keep one thing because everything else has been taken away from her since the day we found out. So we are now reaching out for help because honestly there is not much left to do but go through treatment and put this in God's hands.
